PRIVACY NOTICE for PowerUP mobile application users from UAE PowerUP LLC This privacy notice (“Privacy Notice” or “Notice”) is a part of POWERUP SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. (Singapore) (“we”, “us”, “Company”) personal data protection policy (privacy policy) (“Privacy Policy”) that is formed to explain users (“you”, “your”) how their Personal Data is being processed. NOTE: terms that are letterheaded may be described either in the Notice or in the Policy. We reduced such terms to the minimum but saved those needed for better understanding.

Which of your data is processed by us and how did we get it


First – we process information collected directly from you only; we do not source any personal data about you from anywhere else, other than the PowerUP mobile application. You put information about yourself by your own decision and will; no one can make you do this. Second – we process a minimum volume of data and clearly understand why we need it, as shown below: Preparing, conclusion and execution of the user agreement; Providing support for registered users; Contacting user in case of any errors and/or issues; Informing users about charging terminals in the area; Providing user (data subject) with access to the App and its functionality.

  • Device IDs (MAC, IP): Providing users with full functionality of the App; Providing raw data for statistics research of anonymized data; Errors analysis for further improvement; Informing users about charging terminals in the area.

  • Device details (type of the device, etc.): Providing users with full functionality of the App; Providing raw data for statistics research of anonymized data; Errors analysis for further improvement; Informing users about charging terminals in the area.

  • GPS location: Informing users about charging terminals in the area.



How do we process your data


We are safely processing your data in accordance with the applicable regulations and rules for the mentioned purposes only.


Why do we need your data (generally in plain language)


We provide some services that you desire to use. In this case, we together need to pass some legal formalities (sign the user agreement), you need to install the mobile application with proper functionality for you to use services, and we receive payment. Your data is needed to have it all done.


Who is responsible for your personal data


PowerUP LLC is responsible for all operations with your data.


Cross-border data transfers


Our application is an online one. To make it fast and interactive, we use technical infrastructure of the hosting provider – Amazon Web Services Singapore Private Limited, 23 Church Street, Capital Square, Unit 10-01 to 10-04, 049481, Singapore. We have assessed it and reviewed the measures it takes to protect your data. Moreover, we are monitoring its data processing in practice and communicate with it if we have any considerations. We have contractual clauses in place that cover data exchange and restrictions.


Data retention


We keep data as long as it is required by the applicable legislation. Due to UAE laws, most of your data is destroyed when you delete your account and/or revoke your consent for data processing. Some data regarding financial interaction can be stored for a longer period as required by law, e.g. Personal Data Protection Law No. 45 of 2021, The Central Bank and the Organization of Financial Institutions and Activities Law No. 14 of 2018 (‘the Central Bank Law’), Federal Law by Decree No. 3 of 2003 Regarding the Organization of the Telecommunications Sector, or any other laws or by-laws.


When your data can be disclosed without your consent


Sometimes it is mandatory for us to disclose, block, or otherwise suspend data processing under a governmental or similar request. If we receive such a request, we will fulfill it but keep a track record of such processing.
